Frequently Asked Questions

Must I maintain a certain GPA and Attendance rate in order to keep my VA Education Benefits?
Students will be allowed 3 days non-exempt absences for any calendar month. Students who exceed 3 days non-exempt for any month during a calendar month will terminate their VA Benefits. Note: Hours missed will be calculated into days. Veterans will also be evaluated every month on grade average. Any veteran dropping below a “C”/2.0 average on a monthly evaluation will be placed on academic probation for one month and VA benefits will be terminated at the end of the month.

May I take remedial classes and still get paid?
Most of the VA educational benefit programs allow students to take remedial classes. Remedial classes can only be certified if a need for the class in proven by Lively’s placement test.
