The Office of Business Services, Finance and Federal Programs serves as the foundation of budgetary planning, purchasing, and staffing for the Leon County School System as well as federal entitlement grants. The office supports schools and district cost centers in human resources, contracting, technological support, and implementation of Title I and IDEA grant funds. Assistant Superintendent Billy Epting and his staff have made it their mission to serve as an integral part of every district school and department, providing whatever services are needed to optimize the utilization of the resources (monetary and human) of Leon County Schools to ensure that our students receive the best education possible.

Billy Epting comes from a family of educators. His father, mother, and paternal grandparents were career educators in Duval County. Mr. Epting began working in public schools in 1986. He has been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and district-level administrator in multiple districts in Florida.
